  • Kuthodaw Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa, situated in Mandalay, Myanmar. It contains the largest book of the world. It is at the base of Mandalay Hill and was constructed by King Mindon. The 57 metre high stupa is gold-plated above its terraces and is patterned based on the Shwezigon Pagoda near Bagan. In the pagoda’s grounds there are 729 stone-inscription caves, each having a marble piece engraved on both sides with a summon of text from the Tipitaka.
