Shenyang Imperial Palace

Shenyang Palace

  • Shenyang Imperial Palace also known as Mukden Palace was constructed in 1625 AD. Originally it was the royal palace of the Qing Dynasty established by the nobles of Manchu. In 1644, the capital city was relocated to Beijing by the Qing Dynasty and the Shenyang Imperial Palace was renovated and became the emperor's traveling palace during his inspection visits to the northeast. After too many big renovations, the Shenyang Imperial Palace was turned into the Shenyang Palace Museum. The 2 royal palaces in Shenyang and Beijing together form the only 2 existing undamaged palace building compounds of the Qing and Ming Dynasties in China.
